Import a GPX, FIT or TCX file
In short
Save the activity file to the Files app, then choose it in KinoLap under Profile › Imported files › Choose files. KinoLap reads GPX, FIT and TCX files up to 50 MB.
Three steps
- Export the activity from your watch app or website and save it to the Files app on your iPhone.
- In KinoLap, open Profile › Imported files and tap Choose files. You can pick several files at once.
- The activity shows up in the Activities tab.
For brand steps, see Garmin, COROS and Suunto.
From another app
| App | Where to find the file |
|---|---|
| Polar Flow | Open the session in the Polar Flow website and look for Export session. |
| Wahoo | The ELEMNT app lists a workout's file under its share or export option. |
| Strava website | Open the activity, then ⋯ › Export Original (or Export GPX). |
| Any other app | Look for Export, Share or Download in the activity's menu. |
Checked 9 October 2026 for the Strava website; the Polar and Wahoo names may differ, because those apps change their menus from time to time.
What KinoLap reads
GPX, FIT and TCX files, told apart by content and not by name, up to 50 MB each. It uses the route, elevation, time with pauses, distance, heart rate, cadence, power and temperature, whichever the file has. A file without GPS, such as a treadmill run, makes a video with stats and no map. ZIP and KML files are not read.
Planned routes, courses, workouts and settings files can't become a video.
Delete an import
Open Profile › Imported files and delete the activity. KinoLap deletes its copy. The original file stays where you saved it. Files never leave your phone. Importing the same file twice replaces the first import, so you never get a duplicate.
