KinoLap

Choose resolution and frame rate

Updated

In short

Pick 1080p, 1440p or 4K and 30 or 60 fps when you export. 1080p at 30 fps is free; the rest is Pro. Set your defaults in Profile.

Resolution

Tap Export video. You can pick 1080p (free), 1440p or 4K. 4K needs an iPhone with 6 GB of memory (iPhone 12 Pro, 13 Pro, 14 or later). KinoLap greys out sizes your phone can't make and says "Not on this phone".

Frame rate

30 fps is the usual rate for stories and reels. 60 fps gives smoother motion, but the export takes about twice as long and the file is about 40% bigger. 4K at 60 fps runs best on iPhone 15 Pro or newer. 60 fps is Pro.

How long it takes

The export shows a progress bar and the time left. Keep KinoLap open while it runs.

Defaults

Under Profile › Video you can set the resolution that is preselected when you export and the default length of new videos.
