Delete your account

This page explains how to delete a KinoLap account and the data that goes with it. You only have an account if you signed in with Google inside the app. Using KinoLap without signing in creates no account.

Delete it in the app

1. Open KinoLap and tap Profile, then your avatar, then Account.
2. Choose Delete account and confirm.

Deletion is immediate. You are signed out on every device.

What is deleted

• Your account, your email address and the link to your Google sign-in.
• Every sign-in session on all your devices.
• Your email preferences and the record of when you agreed to them. We stop all promotional email.
• Your purchase record at RevenueCat, the service that checks KinoLap Pro. It is stored under your account id, and we ask RevenueCat to delete it.

Cloudflare keeps database backups for up to 30 days. Deleted data leaves them on that schedule and is not used for anything in the meantime.

What is not affected

• Subscriptions. Deleting the account does not cancel a KinoLap Pro subscription. Cancel it in the App Store or Google Play subscription settings.
• Your videos and activities. They live on your phone only. Delete them from the app or your photo library.
• Strava. KinoLap never stores your Strava data on its servers. To remove KinoLap's access, open Strava, then Settings, then My Apps, and revoke KinoLap.

Cannot open the app?

Email hello@kinolap.app from the address on your account with the subject "Delete my KinoLap account". We delete the account within 20 days and reply when it is done.
